Group chats
An AI that remembers what your group chat decided
Yes: add Cole to your WhatsApp, LINE or iMessage group, and later ask "Cole, what did we decide about Saturday?". Once someone in the group has set Cole up there, Cole keeps what the group writes as background for that group, and answers from it when someone tags it or calls it by name.

How to set it up
- Add Cole to the group. Add Cole like any other member of your WhatsApp, LINE or iMessage group. Someone in the group needs a Pocodot account and asks Cole something there once, or agrees to pay for the group; Cole keeps the group's messages from then on, never from before. The setup guides below show the steps for each app.
- Talk as usual. From then on, nobody has to tag Cole while the group plans. In WhatsApp, LINE and iMessage groups, what members write reaches Cole as background, including messages that do not mention it.
- Ask what was decided. Later, tag Cole or start with its name: "Cole, what did we agree about the dinner?" or "Cole, who said they would bring the tickets?". Cole answers in the group.
- Turn the decision into a reminder. "Cole, remind us Friday at 6 to bring the tickets." Cole posts the reminder in the group at that time, once, daily or weekly.
What Cole can recall, per app
| Group in | What Cole can answer from later |
|---|---|
| Everything members write, as background | |
| LINE | Members' text messages, as background (photos are not kept) |
| iMessage | Everything members write, as background |
| Telegram | Only messages that tag Cole or reply to it |
| Slack | Messages that mention Cole, and recent messages in that thread |
Cole's notes from a group never show up in another group. They can come back in private chats: anyone who has written in the group in the last 180 days can ask Cole about it in their own private chat, and the account owner can see the reminders set to post in the group. Nothing from your private chats comes into the group. Details: how Cole works in group chats.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an AI that remembers what a group chat decided?
Yes. Once Cole is set up in a WhatsApp, LINE or iMessage group, Cole, the AI assistant by Pocodot, keeps what the group writes as background for that group. Ask "Cole, what did we decide?" in the group and it answers from what was said there.
Does Cole read every message in my group?
In WhatsApp, LINE and iMessage groups where Cole is set up, what members write reaches Cole as background, but Cole replies only when someone tags it, calls it by name or replies to it. In Telegram groups Cole only receives the messages that tag it or reply to it, so it cannot recall the rest.
Can what my group said show up in another chat?
In some private chats, never in another group. If you have written in a group in the last 180 days, Cole can use its notes from that group when you ask in your own private chat with Cole, and the same is true for every other member who has written there. The account owner can also see the reminders set to post in the group from their own private chat. Nothing from your private chats or private notes comes into a group.
Can Cole remind the group about a decision?
Yes. Ask "Cole, remind us Friday at 6 to bring the tickets" and Cole posts the reminder in the group at that time, once, daily or weekly.
