How to add AI to a LINE group

To add AI to a LINE group, add Cole as a LINE friend (@pocodot), invite Cole into the group, then write "Cole" or @mention Cole when you want an answer. Cole is an AI assistant from Pocodot that replies in the group, keeps up with what the group says and can post reminders for everyone.

    5-step guide

    October 2026

    Before you start

    • You need LINE on your phone.
    • You need a Pocodot account. It is free to start, with 150 one-time credits, and you can make it from inside LINE.
    • The other members need no account once someone with one agrees to pay for the group.
    • Cole only sees messages sent after it joins the group.

Add Cole to your LINE group in 5 steps

    01
    Add Cole as a friend
In LINE, search for @pocodot or open lin.ee/WY8gSoF on your phone, then tap Add.
    02
Send Cole a message to set up your account
If you are new, Cole replies with a Start with Cole button. Sign in with LINE and your free account is ready, with 150 one-time credits. If you already use Cole, connect LINE from your dashboard at pocodot.ai.
    03
    Invite Cole into the group
Open the group, open its menu and choose Invite, then pick Cole from your friends. Cole joins quietly and does not post a welcome message.
    04
Ask Cole once and say yes to paying for the group
Ask Cole something in the group, such as Cole, what can you do here?. Cole answers from your own credits, then asks you in your private chat with Cole whether your account should pay for everyone in this group. Say yes, and anyone in the group can ask Cole. Until someone says yes, Cole answers only members with their own account, each from their own credits, and the group is not told who pays. To take over paying later, tell Cole so in the group and Cole asks you privately.
    05
    Ask Cole by name
Write Cole's name, @mention Cole, or reply to one of Cole's messages. If the group agreed on a nickname for Cole, that works too. In a group where you are the only person with Cole, every message gets an answer.
    Good to know
Cole keeps the messages it is not asked about as background and does not reply to them. When someone asks "Cole, what did we agree for Saturday?", Cole can work from what the group already said. Photos people share are kept with the conversation too.

What a LINE group can ask Cole

    Reminders for everyone
"Cole, remind everyone on Friday at 6pm to bring the deposit." Cole posts it in the group at that time. How group reminders work.
    A recap
"Cole, what did we decide about the venue?" Cole answers from the group's own messages.
    Nudge a person
"Cole, remind @Nok about the tickets." Cole can @mention members it has seen write in the group, so they get a LINE notification.
    Several photos at once
Send ten listing photos and ask "Cole, which of these has a balcony?". Cole treats them as one request and answers once.
    Your language
Write in Thai, Japanese or English. Cole replies in the language you write in.
    A page to share
"Cole, make our trip plan a page." Cole turns it into a page with a link anyone can open.

    Group settings

Rules for the group are set in the group itself, for example "Cole, from now on only answer when someone asks you a question". The account that pays for the group can also turn Cole off in one group from its private chat with Cole.

Some settings, such as letting only members of your account use Cole and a monthly credit limit per person, currently apply to WhatsApp groups only.

    Who pays

Cole's replies in a group are billed to one Pocodot account, the group's payer: the person who said yes when Cole asked them in a private chat. Nobody becomes the payer without that yes, and nobody is named in the group. Until there is a payer, each member with an account pays for their own questions, and members without an account are not answered. Once there is a payer, members without an account do not pay. If the payer runs out of credits, a member who has their own Pocodot account with credits pays for their own questions until the payer adds more.

Members who are not part of the paying account can talk to Cole, but Cole will not use that account's email, calendar or connected apps for them unless the account says yes.

The free plan gives you 150 one-time credits. Paid plans start at $19 a month for 2,000 credits. See current plans and limits.

    If Cole stays silent

    • No account? Until someone in the group agrees to pay for it, Cole only answers members who have their own Pocodot account.
    • Does the message use Cole's name, @mention Cole or reply to one of Cole's messages?
    • Are there credits left on the paying account? Ask Cole in your private chat: "how many credits do I have left?"
    • Has the account turned Cole off in this group? Ask Cole in your private chat to turn it back on.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I add an AI to my LINE group?
Yes. Add Cole as a LINE friend (search @pocodot or open lin.ee/WY8gSoF), invite Cole into the group, and write "Cole" or @mention Cole when you want an answer. People with a free Pocodot account can ask right away; everyone else can ask once one of them agrees to pay for the group.
Is there an official ChatGPT for LINE groups?
We found no official ChatGPT or Gemini account on LINE when we checked on 12 October 2026. LINE accounts that use those names are run by third parties. Cole is Pocodot's own assistant on LINE, and it works in LINE groups.
Does the AI read all the messages in my LINE group?
Cole keeps the messages in the group as background, including ones that do not mention it, so it can answer questions like "what did we agree for Saturday?". It only replies when someone writes its name, @mentions it or replies to one of its messages. It never sees messages from before it joined.
Does everyone in the LINE group need a Pocodot account?
Not once someone with an account pays for the group. Members with a Pocodot account are answered from their own credits, and Cole asks them in a private chat whether their account should pay for everyone. After one of them says yes, anyone in the group can ask Cole, with or without an account. Until then, Cole does not answer members who have no account.
Can Cole reply in Thai or Japanese in a LINE group?
Cole replies in the language you write in. In a group that uses several languages, you can tell Cole which language to answer in.
Is an AI in a LINE group free?
Cole is free to start with 150 one-time credits. Paid plans start at $19 a month for 2,000 credits. A short answer uses a few credits; longer work uses more. See current plans.
How do I remove Cole from a LINE group?
Remove Cole from the group in LINE the same way you remove any member. Cole never leaves a group on its own. The account that pays can also turn Cole off in one group from its private chat with Cole.
