A family and helpers schedule assistant in your group chat

Add Cole, the AI assistant by Pocodot, to the household group you already share with your helpers and drivers on LINE, Telegram, iMessage, WhatsApp or Slack, and set the schedule there: "Cole, every weekday at 7am remind Nok to take the children to school, in English and Thai." Cole says the time and time zone back, then posts each reminder in the group when it is due, once, daily or weekly. You set it up from your own account, free to start with 150 one-time credits.

How to set up the household schedule, step by step

    1. Add Cole to the group. Add Cole the way your app adds anyone: on LINE, add @pocodot as a friend and invite Cole into the group; on Telegram, connect Telegram to your Pocodot account and add @Cole_chief_of_staff_bot to the group; on iMessage and WhatsApp, add Cole's number to the group. The setup guide for each app is linked below. You need a Pocodot account, free to start with 150 one-time credits and no card.
    2. Ask Cole once and say who pays. Ask Cole something in the group. On LINE, iMessage and WhatsApp, Cole answers from your own credits, then asks you once, in your private chat with Cole, whether your account should pay for everyone in the group. Say yes, and the others can ask Cole without an account of their own. On these three apps nobody becomes the payer without saying yes, and the group is not told who pays. On Telegram, the account of the person who added Cole to the group pays for everyone's questions there, if they had connected Telegram to their Pocodot account before adding Cole, and the others need no account.“Cole, hello”
    3. Set each reminder in the group. Say what, when, how often and for whom, and name the languages if the household uses more than one. Cole writes the reminder in those languages and says the day, time and time zone back. A reminder set in the group is posted in the group.“Cole, every Saturday at 9am remind Ben to water the garden, in English and Tagalog”
    4. Use the right clock. Cole uses your account's time zone or the asker's phone number, or the city you name. For a driver or helper in another city, name the city, and Cole confirms the time in that zone. If a phone number's country has more than one time zone, Cole asks which one you mean.“Cole, every day at 6pm Manila time remind Rosa to send the day's photos”
    5. Check, change or stop it. Ask Cole what reminders are set for the group, move one or cancel one in the group. Anyone in the group can list, move or cancel a one-time reminder there. A repeating reminder runs on the credits of the account it is set on, and starting or stopping one needs someone from that account, unless the account allows everyone. To change a reminder's wording, cancel it and ask for a new one.“Cole, what reminders are set for this group?”

    Good to know

    • A reminder is the text Cole wrote when you set it, posted as a normal message from Cole. It tags nobody, so put each person's name in it.
    • In a group, Cole sends at most 3 reminders an hour, at least 20 minutes apart. Daily and weekly ones are fine. For several jobs at the same hour, put them in one reminder: one message can be long.
    • Cole messages a helper privately only after that helper has written to Cole privately first. A reminder posted in the household group reaches everyone in it.
    • A helper in the group can ask Cole for a one-time reminder. Daily and weekly schedules are kept on a Pocodot account and use its credits.
    • From your own private chat with Cole, you can see the reminders set to post in the group.

    What it costs

    • Setting, moving or cancelling a reminder is priced like a short answer: at most 3 credits.
    • A repeating reminder that posts the same words each time costs nothing per post. One that has to look something up or write something new each time, such as a summary, is charged like an answer.
    • While the account a repeating reminder is set on has no credits, that reminder is skipped and the account is told. A one-time reminder that is already set is still sent, at no charge.
    • Every new account gets 150 free credits, one time.

    Frequently asked questions

Can an AI remind my household helpers and drivers every day?

Yes. Add Cole to the group you share with them on LINE, Telegram, iMessage, WhatsApp or Slack and ask, for example, "Cole, every weekday at 7am remind Nok to take the children to school." Cole posts the reminder in the group at that time, every weekday, and says the time and time zone back when you set it.

Can the reminders be in two languages?

Yes. Name the languages when you set the reminder, for example "in English and Thai". Cole writes the reminder in both, and it is posted with the words Cole wrote when you set it.

What if a helper or driver is in another time zone?

Name their city when you set the reminder, such as "6pm Manila time". Cole confirms the time in that zone. Otherwise Cole uses your account's time zone or the asker's phone number, and asks when a country has more than one time zone.

Do my helpers need a Pocodot account?

No, once one account pays for the group. On LINE, iMessage and WhatsApp, that is your account once you say yes, in your private chat with Cole, to paying for everyone in it. On Telegram, it is the account of whoever added Cole, if they had connected Telegram to their Pocodot account before adding Cole, so connect yours first. The reminders you set are posted in the group either way.

Who can change or stop the schedule?

Anyone in the group can list, move or cancel a one-time reminder there. A daily or weekly reminder runs on the credits of the account it is set on, and starting or stopping one needs someone from that account, unless the account allows everyone.

    Does each reminder cost credits?

Setting, moving or cancelling a reminder is priced like a short answer, at most 3 credits. A repeating reminder that posts the same words each time costs nothing per post. While the account a repeating reminder is set on has no credits, that reminder is skipped and the account is told.
